Claw Manufacturing Sends Order of Extreme Carbide Studs to Golden Predator Exploration Ltd in Vancouver
September 30th 2019
Golden Predator Exploration Ltd., a mining and exploration company operating out of Vancouver, British Columbia with current projects in Whitehorse and Dawson City in the Yukon, recently reached out to us at ClawM for some help. With projects being carried out in very rugged terrain and extreme winter environments, they require extra traction on their machines, particularly in such snowy and icy conditions and locations. Good thing we specialize in manufacturing anti-slippage solutions for use on snow and ice tracks for skid steers and other heavy equipment!
ClawM Traction Studs Increase Safety and Accessibility
The Extreme Carbide Studs were developed for extremely rugged terrains where additional traction is necessary, such as going up steep inclines in mud, ice, and snow. Golden Predator’s mining projects in the Yukon are facing just these challenges. The Extreme Studs were a great option to quickly add traction to rubber track; they work perfectly for heavy-duty operations in steep and slippery conditions, as well as gravel and mine pits. These studs are easy to install and can be switched with other ClawM stud attachments to suit any purpose.
The Extreme Studs provide added traction for your rubber tracks with an additional carbide coating and an extra-long head. Built to work, the white Teflon bushing ensures that your stud doesn’t settle into your rubber and will always give you amazing traction on any terrain.
ClawM Traction Studs Reduce Fuel Consumption and Operating Costs While Increasing Equipment Safety
It’s challenging to reduce the carbon footprint in the mining and logging industries in Canada and the USA, due to the heavy equipment necessary to operate. We are excited to report that field trials have shown a difference in fuel consumption between machinery rigged with our carbide studs compared to those with no studs!
More than a safety solution, our “Carbide Studs” and “Extreme Carbide Studs” on smaller rubber track and solid rubber-tired machines allow these machines to use as much as a quarter of the consumption of fuel in a day. Installing our “Carbide Studs” and “Extreme Carbide Studs” on a grader for snow removal will significantly lower costs.
